With this in mind, there are some important things for new home buyers to keep in mind that will help ensure the process goes smoothly and minimizes any construction delays as we customize and design your home to your specific needs.
As part of our standard home-building process, the blue prints of all our homes have already been submitted and approved by the city. Therefore, any changes made to the approved designs, must be submitted to our purchasing department and reviewed by structural engineers to ensure that the changes will not compromise the overall construction, design, or stability of the home. For some design changes Cachet may need to enlist our in-house architect to draw up new plans with these upgrades. Once approved, these changes are sent to the appropriate vendors for pricing. If necessary, Cachet then resubmits the new plans to the city for approval, a process that can take several weeks.
Once the final design changes have been approved-and any pricing changes have been approved by the home buyer-the updates are sent to the construction manager and vendors to be included in the final plans for the home. Keep in mind that there may be additional labor and materials required.
